Business / Project Controller

GENERAL

• Ensure a timely distribution of monthly financial information (plan and actual) to every budget holder by sending out reports, by managing system access, and by presenting the information in regular meetings.
• Promote efficiency in controlling to minimize time spent for report generation and increase time for analysis, commenting, and insights sharing.
• Manage monthly billing and invoice verification process, and coordinate the monthly accrual process based on WIP / Timesheets.
• Manage the process of new consultants by verifying rates and adapting the master data accordingly.
• Ensure master data quality and verify the consistency of order hierarchies to perfectly mirror the responsibilities in the organization.

PROJECT CONTROLLING

• Implement a project controlling structure for cross-functional-projects, focusing on investments and returns, along the whole project lifecycle.
• Prepare cross-functional, “Total Cost of Ownership” analysis.
• Manage ongoing budget reallocation process.
• Align business consulting cost structure with program/project tracking tool (workfront master data setup).
• Report and plan total costs for cross-functional projects, including operational and capital expenditures, which are brought together in reporting and planning through Total Cash Controlling (a combination of Overheads Costs Controlling and Investment Management).
• Support preparation of cross-functional steering meetings.
• Combine/align business application with business consulting budgets.

BUSINESS PARTNERING

• Act as a contact and sparring partner for the Global Data Functional Head and Department Heads.
• Support in evaluating project outcomes. Support the Functional Head in implementing a business case mentality, with clear ROI of planned business cases.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis for your stakeholders in Global Data.
• Manage the master data (cost center structure/internals order hierarchy) to ensure that reports match the responsibility of each stakeholder, through the whole hierarchy.

PLANNING AND FORECASTING

• Coordinate the business plan/revised estimate data collection and aggregate/consolidate the individual plans to a total plan.
• Act as the planning coordinator across various management levels to ensure data collection and data entry within our deadlines and fulfill all relevant planning deliveries on time.
• Support and challenge the budget owners during the planning process.
• Prepare monthly year-to-go best estimates.
• Support the establishment of a true bottom-up planning process and the development.
