YOUR TASKS
- Analyze and improve packaging solutions for product protection, sustainability, and logistics efficiency
- Design and optimize material flow processes, including goods receipt, storage, picking, and line supply
- Select and integrate transport systems (AGVs, tugger trains, STRs) and plan storage layouts
- Collaborate closely with production, logistics planning, IT, suppliers, and external partners
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives for packaging and intralogistics processes

- Drive Strategy and Culture Implementation: Translate the PALFINGER Group vision, strategy, and core values into tangible local initiatives and projects. Foster a culture of empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the plant
- Optimize Plant Operations: Ensure efficient end-to-end order fulfillment - from goods receipt to shipment—meeting defined targets in cost, quality, and delivery. Establish and maintain LEAN processes and a strong shop floor management system
- Lead Prototyping Execution: Oversee the delivery of assembly prototypes from mock-up to near-series level and support process industrialization during product development. Ensure smooth series ramp-up in collaboration with target plants
- Develop People and Teams: Build, coach, and mentor the plant’s leadership team. Encourage continual professional development and foster an environment that attracts and retains talent through effective employer branding
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Uphold occupational health and safety standards, manage environmental and sustainability initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the digital transformation from enterprise to shop floor level, focusing on business processes, data management, OT architecture, and governance
- End-to-end ownership of process definition, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of business processes, data objects and respective templates
- Manage and develop the Operations Process & Data Organization (PDO) team, including resource allocation and competence development
- Drive the implementation and advancement of digital shop floor solutions (Smart Factory, IIoT, Edge Computing) and integrate OT and IT to enable digital twins
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Business & Technical Template Owners, technology partners, research partners) and ensure the achievement and further development of KPIs for efficiency gains and cost control (e.g., StruCo, CAPEX, OPEX)

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in all phases of the automation development: requirements, design/analysis, assembly, testing, integration, and volume manufacturing.
- Design and analyze mechanical and mechatronic systems, including motion control and automation.
- Conduct detailed analysis including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid and gas flow dynamics, and manufacturability to properly specify designs.
