Internship Data Quality

As a Data Quality Intern, you'll primarily support the team in operational data quality activities and daily business requests. You'll help execute predefined data checks, support ticket handling, and assist with basic data preparation and analysis.
You'll be in contact with business partners and contribute to ensuring reliable and high-quality data for our prevention setup under guidance from the team.
We are looking for someone who can start in February/March 2026 for six months.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
OPERATIONAL DATA QUALITY SUPPORTYou’ll carry out predefined, recurring data quality checks (e.g., completeness, consistency, plausibility) based on existing guidelines and standards. You’ll support the identification, documentation, and follow-up of data quality issues and contribute to basic data cleansing and harmonization before checks are performed. You’ll also help keep operational data quality reports and simple monitoring views up to date.
DATA ANALYSIS, REPORTING & PREPARATIONYou’ll use Excel and basic SQL to extract, validate, and prepare data for further use. You’ll perform simple analyses that help with prevention measures and day-to-day operational decisions. You’ll prepare structured summaries, basic reports, and simple visualizations to communicate findings and support the documentation of data sources, applied checks, and analysis steps.
TICKET HANDLING & BUSINESS SUPPORTIn this internship, you’ll support the processing of tickets from business partners related to data quality or data-related questions. Under guidance, you’ll clarify straightforward requests and data issues directly with business stakeholders and make sure all tickets are properly documented, tracked, and closed on time. You’ll act as a reliable service partner for recurring operational inquiries.
COLLABORATION & LEARNINGAdditionally, you’ll work closely with the Media Data Governance and Enablement Team to learn and apply established processes, methods, and standards. You’ll support alignment with business partners on data definitions and recurring data questions and contribute to continuously improving documentation and operational workflows over time.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- Ongoing or recently completed studies in a data-related field (e.g. Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration)
- Initial experience with data analysis, reporting, databases, or data preparation/cleaning
- Working knowledge of Excel (formulas, filters, pivot tables) and basic SQL (SELECT, WHERE, simple JOINs)
- General understanding of data structures, data quality concepts, and ideally first exposure to BI/visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented working style with a strong willingness to learn and take ownership of operational tasks
- Clear and professional communication skills in English (German and other languages beneficial)
- Service-oriented mindset, reliability in daily operations, and the ability to work well in a team and follow defined processes
